What is "Martini Sports" all about?... Martini Sports is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in April 2008 in dedication to my dad, Joe, to give back to the community he loved so much.

The ultimate goal for this organization is to provide opportunities for student athletes to be recognized as student athletes. Under the direction of our "MISSION STATEMENT & VALUES AND GOALS" we, as an organization, would provide a structured learning environment for students to excel in academics and in sports. Provide guidance and tutoring on the academics side and fundamentally sound coaching and mentorship on the athletic side. All of this can be possible with funding, grants, fund raising, and donations. Our coaching staff and tutors are volunteers with the commitment to our student athletes to motivate them to be better.
At the present time, I have over 20 years of fund raising experience raising monies for other charities. These charities are, but not limited to, "Make a Wish Foundation" of Northern Nevada, Angel Kiss, and "The Reno Autism Information Network" (RAIN). The majority of the fund raising comes through a golf tournament that is held about the third weekend in July. This years event will benefit MARTINI SPORTS which will help a local school golf program and a couple of other things... like trying to get the word out about what we are trying to accomplish. My fathers profession was music and his passions were golf & kids. We plan on, in the near future, writing scholarships for golf and music in his name with the rest of the proceeds to benefit the Organization and it's mission...
The Organization has plans for more fund raising events like another golf tournament, in addition to the flagship event, a softball tournament (adult league or youth), a Black Tie event such as an "Evening with the Stars", and maybe a bingo night. Right at this time I am working with a company to modernize the website to make it more visually appealing and user friendly. Look for it in the near future.
I feel that I am very fortunate to have made it through life with the experiences I have. My dad never had the chance to do something like this, if he did, I would hope that what I am doing in his name would have been as great as what he could have done. His passion was to always give back to our community and what a great avenue to do so. This Organization has and will continue to do great things for our community and the youth it supports, after all, "they are our future..."
